Lets do some quick asset market analysis to guage the RISK on RISK off trade this week for western markets. Our nifty summary is already present in one of the other posts.
End of week - The week saw Gold touching new highs, despite debt ceiling being raised you have 30Yr bonds closing in green for the week (that can possibly mean risk aversion and/ or expecting recession ahead), Silver got sold off during the end of the week and the JPY showed some resilience.
As it shows as well - soft commodities have been major gainers during the week.
YTD the story remains similar - Gold and Silver outrunning every possible asset market out there with Swiss Franc being the strongest currency against the dollar. S&P500 and Dow are in red YTD.
Conclusion - Stay invested in precious metals, dont trade the core positions.
